Helper Terms
Last updated: Lietuviškai
These terms explain how offering your skills or time through Lightwork works: applying, accepting tasks, how we expect helpers to work, and how and when you're paid.
The important stuff
- You must be 18 or older to apply.
- We review every application and talk to applicants before matching them, but we can't guarantee that you'll be accepted or offered tasks.
- You choose which tasks to accept, and your pay is agreed before you say yes.
- Once you accept a task, do it carefully, on time and as agreed, and keep customers' information private.
- Once a task is confirmed complete and any issues are resolved, we aim to start your payment within a few hours. Your bank may take longer.
This is a short summary. The full text below contains the detailed provisions, and it is the full text that applies.

01About these terms
These terms apply when you apply to help, and to every task you accept through Lightwork. “We”, “us” and “Lightwork” mean the operator named below. “You” means the helper. A “customer” is the person who asked for the task.
Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. Customers have their own Customer Terms.
02Who runs Lightwork
Lightwork is a service name used by Arnold Enyinna, a private individual. Lightwork is not a company and is not registered as a business.
You can reach us at ask@lightwork.live or on WhatsApp at +370 61171610.
03Applying
You must be 18 or older. The application form asks you to confirm this. You don't have to be a student.
Give accurate contact details and an honest description of your skills, experience and availability.
Applying doesn't guarantee that you'll be accepted. Being accepted doesn't guarantee that you'll be offered tasks.
04How we review applications
We review applications and talk to applicants before matching them with tasks. We may approve, decline, suspend or remove an application for legitimate reasons (see suspension and removal).
We don't carry out criminal background checks or formal identity checks, and we don't tell customers that helpers are vetted or certified.
05Your status
You're an independent helper, not an employee of Lightwork. You choose which tasks to accept, and you can decline any offer.
The wording of these terms doesn't by itself decide your legal status; that depends on how the work is actually done and on the law.
You're responsible for any tax, registration or permit that applies to you, including whether you're allowed to do paid work in Lithuania under your residence or visa conditions. We can't give you tax or immigration advice. If you're unsure, check with the relevant authority before accepting paid tasks.
06Task offers
We'll reach out on WhatsApp when something suitable comes up, with what the task involves, when and where it happens, any instructions and your pay. You decide whether to accept, and you don't have to give a reason if you decline.
Your pay is the amount agreed for the task, which we tell you before you accept. Lightwork's service fee is paid by the customer on top of it, not deducted from your pay.
We share with you only the customer information the task needs. We don't normally give you the customer's phone number.
07Doing the work
- Work with reasonable care, skill and professionalism.
- Follow the agreed scope, timing and the customer's instructions, as long as they are lawful and safe.
- Tell us straight away about delays, if you can't attend, and about any accident, damage or other problem.
- Respect the customer's property.
- Don't agree extra paid work with the customer directly. Changes go through Lightwork and need the customer's agreement.
- Never misrepresent your qualifications or experience.
- Follow the law, and don't do work that needs a licence, permit or qualification you don't have.
- If a task becomes unsafe, you can stop and contact us.
08Conduct
The following are not allowed:
- harassment, discrimination, threats or exploitation;
- fraud, theft or deliberate damage to property;
- misusing customers' information, or sharing anyone's personal details without permission;
- contacting a customer about anything unrelated to the task;
- unlawful or dangerous activities.
09Customers' information
Use customers' information only for the task you accepted. Don't copy, keep or share it, and delete it when the task is finished, unless we ask you to keep something for an open complaint. If you receive a customer's contact details, use them only for that task.
10Academic integrity
Tutoring, explanations, study support and permitted proofreading are welcome. Don't complete assessed work for a customer to submit as their own, impersonate anyone, or help with exam fraud or any other academic misconduct. If you're asked to, tell us.
11Getting paid
Customers pay Lightwork before the work starts. Once the task is confirmed complete and any issues are resolved, we aim to start your payment within a few hours. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to deliver the funds.
A task counts as confirmed complete when the customer confirms it, or when the customer doesn't reply within 24 hours of being told it's finished and there's no known unresolved issue. We don't hold back your pay just because a customer is silent.
We pay to the account details you give us, by a method we agree with you, and tell you on WhatsApp when we've sent it.
- Complaints: if a customer complains, we tell you what the complaint is and give you a chance to respond before we decide. Your payment may wait until the complaint is resolved, and we'll explain the outcome. Where the work was partly done, a partial payment may be fair.
- Cancellations: if a task is cancelled before you start, no pay is due unless we agreed otherwise. If it's cancelled after you started, we pay a fair amount for the work you did, unless the cancellation was caused by your breach of these terms.
- No hidden deductions: we make no deduction that hasn't been explained to you in advance.
12Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove you as a helper for legitimate reasons, including fraud or dishonesty, harassment or unsafe conduct, serious or repeated unreliability, misuse of personal information, or a serious breach of these terms.
Our response will be proportionate. Where appropriate we'll tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond. Pay for work you completed is not taken away because you are removed, unless the law allows it.
13Responsibility and insurance
You're responsible for the work you accept and for doing it with reasonable care. Lightwork has no liability insurance and does not insure you, your work or anyone's property.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
14Leaving Lightwork
You can stop being a helper at any time by telling us at ask@lightwork.live or on WhatsApp. Please finish or hand back any task you've already accepted. Our Privacy Policy explains how long we keep your information.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We record which version you accepted. Changes apply to tasks offered after the change and never remove rights you already have.
16Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania, subject to any mandatory rules that protect you.
